Summer programs at AU

Summer programs create buzz at Ansal University
TDL is a way of life at Ansal University, manifesting itself consciously as well as sub consciously across disciplines, activities and day-to-day events at the campus. To beat the heat this summer there is a host of Workshops across disciplines ranging from graphics, fine art and architecture, computer sciences to personality enhancement trainings.
These include workshops in latest software and techniques for designing with digital tools, Lighting and Illumination, Graphics & Fine Arts which include Drawing and Painting, Weaving, Designing with Design Tools, Bamboo Workshop, Product Designing, Furniture Design, Structural Designing, Glass Workshop, Film (stop-motion animation), Art Appreciation, Advertising Profession & Practice Green Building/Sustainability, Information Security and Ethical Hacking.
During the summer workshops insightful technical sessions will be deliberated upon by technical experts like Jake Garfield, a London based painter, printmaker, writer and faculty member at prestigious The Prince’s Drawing School, London and Kathryn Lewis, MA Textiles and Weave student at the Chelsea College of Arts and Design, University of the Arts, London.
The SPRINT (Speech, PResentation, INTerview) personality enhancement program has been designed for students and professionals. It will assist students to transition from the school to college and college to corporate, through practical training of group discussion/interview skills, communication, presentation and team building skills, handling University Academics and managing peers and seniors.
Trans disciplinary learning in the true sense…

Zyxis Studio

Zyxis Studio
State-of-the-art Digital Production Lab at Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Ansal University

The study of architecture requires a strong intermingling of research, experimentation and learning. With the launch of the first of its kind in an architecture school in India, Sushant School of Art and Architecture (SSAA), Ansal University has proved that India is not far behind in providing top quality education to its students. The Studio equipped with the latest laser cutting, engraving and 3D printing technologies, the lab built at a cost of around Rs 1.6 crore will enable students to get the best practical training in digital modeling and physical prototyping.

The launch of the Zyxis Studio will help us further train our students to achieve design quality through applied research using latest technologies like laser cutters and 3D printers. Thus, helping them emerge as better well-rounded future-proof professionals.

The lab is equipped with modern technologies such as the Laser Cutter and Engraving Machine that can enable students to cut and engrave across a range of dimensions on various materials such as paper, acrylic, leather, stone and clothes. The printer behaves just like a normal printer, which can be operated through various programs such as CorelDraw, AutoCad, Photoshop and Adobe Suite.  Since it can cut or engrave on any material, as per design, it is especially beneficial for students of architecture (SSAA) in model making. The accuracy and precision will give a splendidly cut elevation for model making, and in no time students will be ready with their 3-dimensional model. The ZPrinter 450 (3D Systems) sets the standard for speed, color, affordability and ease of use. It simplifies the 3D printing process with automated operation at every step and transforms electronic 3D data into handheld physical models. Colour dramatically communicates the proposed look, feel and style of engineering product designs.
